Social software and youth at risk: do they match?

According to the recent results of a number of European research projects, young people at risk of being socially excluded can improve their lives by using social software tools, gaming, playing music, mobile phone applications and other invasive technologies. Examples include learning how to use job-seeking websites in order to find employment, establishing respectful relationships with adults through social networking sites and using forums and the internet to collaborate on projects.

End of pilot in Styria

Last 27th of April, the Styria pilot held its Final Focus Group including the closing ceremony, where the young participants were handed out their certificates for their attendance.

A more detailed summary about the Focus Group will be produced in the following days and published in this website.
 

Austrian Pilots Kick off!!

Last 5th of February the first welcome session was held in Vienna with 19 kids. The rest of the participants were invited to another welcome session on 9th of February.

3rd Review of ComeIn Project

On March the 9th 2010 took place the third review of the project ComeIn in Bishop's Stortford, UK.

This review included a real demo with youngster who actually are participating in the pilot. It was a very positive and illustrative experience.
The consortium is now working on the finalisation of the pilots which took place in Austria and UK and in the evaluation of the work performed.

Last Consortium Meeting held in Vienna

On 2nd and 3rd of December the ComeIn consortium meet in Vienna in two-days meeting discussing and reviewing the progress of the work.

The focus of the meeting was on the organisation of the pilots besides the consortium had the chance of testing the first prototype of the platform in a "hands on phone" session.
